Two upcoming Android Marshmallow Alcatel OneTouch smartphones have been spotted on the company’s support Page ahead of their official announcement which we believe should be at the MWC 2016. The devices in question are the Alcatel OneTouch Idol 4 and Alcatel OneTouch Idol 4S.
Starting with the smaller of the duo – the Alcatel OneTouch Idol 4, it sports a 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS display, powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 617 processor (4 x Cortex-A53 @ 1.7GHz + 4 x Cortex-A53 @ 1.2GHz) with the option of either 2 or 3GB RAM, 16GB built-in storage space and a microSD card for storage expansion.
It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, has a front facing 8MP camera with flash, rear facing 13MP camera and backed by a 2160mAh battery. This is an upgrade over the 4.7-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display and quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 of the predecessor (OneTouch Idol 3 4.7).
The other of the duo is the Alcatel OneTouch Idol 4S, it sports a 5.5-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) QHD AMOLED display, powered by the Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 (4 x Cortex-A72 @ 1.8GHz + 4 x Cortex-A53 @ 1.4GHz) processor along with 3GB RAM and 32GB expandable built-in storage space.
It also runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, a front facing 8MP camera with dedicated flash, a rear facing 16MP camera and backed by a 3000mAh battery. This is an upgrade over the 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS display and Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processsor on the OneTouch Idol 3 5.5.
Since both devices are not official yet, there is no word on pricing and availability. But more information are expected at the upcoming MWC 2016 in Barcelona.
