At the ongoing MWC, Alcatel in collaboration with French operator, Orange to deliver Firefox OS 2.0 smartphones which would be called Alcatel OneTouch Orange Klif .
The device comes with the Firefox Market Place (equivalent of the Google Playstore for Android devices) for downloading apps and other relevant needs. The Firefox OS is based on HTML5, has multi windows search and adaptive app search. Pre-loaded on the device includes apps such as Facebook and Twitter.
The Alcatel OneTouch Orange Klif would be available in Mid-Eastern countries as well as 13 African Countries – Egypt, Senegal, Tunisia, Cameroon, Botswana, Madagascar, Mali, Ivory Coast, Jordan, Niger, Kenya, Mauritius and Vanuatu. It wil arrive in these regions starting by the second quarter of 2015 (Q2 2015) for a price tag of $40 in Black colour option.
Moving to the specs, all you get is a 3.5-inch (320 x 480 pixels) HVGA capacitive touch screen display, powered by a dual-core MediaTek Processor clocked at 1.0GHz with 256MB of RAM and 512MB space of internal storage. For additional storage, there is a microSD card slot on-board, for storage expansion up to 32GB. Other key specs features includes – rear facing 2-megapixels camera, Dual SIM functionality, FM Radio, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a 1300mAh battery.
