Ahead of the CES 2016 in Las Vegas, Alcatel OneTouch has announced the list of products it will be showing off at the annual event. The company announced a couple of mobile devices in an all-new Pixi 4 series; it first Windows tablet from the Pixi 3 series and a smartwatch for children.
Alcatel OneTouch Pixi 4 Series
The company announced Alcatel OneTouch Pixi 4 series – a 3.5-inch & 4-inch smartphone, 6-inch phablet and 7-inch tablet. All four devices are premium entry-level devices presumably running Android OS and they primarily offer user experience in design, audio, camera and battery life.
Alcatel OneTouch Pixi 3 8-inch tablet
The Alcatel OneTouch Pixi 3 8-inch tablet is the first ever Windows Mobile tablet from the company. The Entry-level Pixi 3 8-inch runs a fully optimised Windows 10 Mobile for tablets, powered by a Qualcomm chipset (Snapdragon 210) and supports for 4G connectivity.
The Alcatel OneTouch Pixi 3 8-inch tablet has other features such as front and rear cameras, GPS, TV Remote control, voice-call enablement and TV Remote control. The slate is customisable through Color Skins and Flip Stand covers.
CareTime Children’s Watch
Also announced by Alcatel is the CareTime Children’s Watch which is a GPS tracking device for parents or guardians to be able to monitor their wards. The kids can make calls and reply to messages from pre-set contacts.
Parents will be able to call or send voice messages to their children and while they know where the kids are using the GPS locator, there is also an app that lets them know when they enter or leave a predetermined safe area.
The company is expected to give more information on the products as well as pricing and availability details at the event.
