Alcatel OneTouch has announced two new smartphones to its POP series of devices – the Alcatel OneTouch POP Star and Alcatel OneTouch POP Up. Both smartphones are available in a wide selection of colour options and interchangeable back. Covers. There is no word on availability and pricing.
Alcatel OneTouch POP Star
Running Android 5.0 Lollipop OS out-of-the-box, the Alcatel OneTouch POP Star sports a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display with 1GB of RAM, 8GB internal storage space, a front facing 5MP camera and a rear facing 8MP Autofocus camera with LED flash. A 2000mAh battery provides the juice for proceedings.
The POP Star is available in 3G and 4G LTE versions, the 3G version is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6580 processor clocked at 1.3GHz while the 4G LTE version is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6735p processor clocked at 1.0 GHZ. Both models have Dual SIM support but the LTE model has Dual Standby Mode.
Alcatel OneTouch POP Up
With metal frame around the side and a back cover with 3D spin effect, the Alcatel OneTouch POP Up is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 610 processor clocked at 1.4GHz paired with 2GB of RAM and 5-inch HD IPS display.
There is 16GB space of internal storage with a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 32GB. The device has a 13MP main camera, front facing 5MP camera and is available in a wide range of colour options including – Amber Orange, Black, Riva Blue, Strawberry Red and White.
The Dual SIM (with Dual Standby) enabled Alcatel OneTouch POP Up is backed by a 2000mAh battery, support 4G LTE connectivity and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop OS out-of-the-box.
