Alcatel (TCL) has announced a battery-centric entry-level smartphone in the affordable PIXI series. The phablet-sized Alcatel PIXI 4 Plus Power is equipped with a sizeable 5000mAh battery with quick charge and can also serve as a power bank for charging other mobile devices.
Running Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out-of-the-box, the Alcatel PIXI 4 Plus Power sports a 5.5-inch display with HD screen resolution and powered by a quad-core Mediatek processor clocked at 1.3GHz along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB built-in storage space which is expandable via microSD.
In the camera segment, there is rear facing 13MP camera with LED flash and 1080p video recording, alongside a front facing 5MP camera with LED flash. It has Dual Micro SIM slots with Dual Standby, supports 2G and 3G networks, FM Radio and advanced audio tech from Arkamys.
On a single charge, the Alcatel PIXI 4 Plus Power last up to 2.7 – 3 days of usage, 22 hours of Wi-Fi browsing, 14 hours of video streaming and five days of audio playback time. It measures 152 x 78.3 x 9.9 mm in dimensions, weighs in around 202 grams and supports Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n (2.4GHz),Wi-Fi Direct, GPS / A-GPS and Micro USB 2.0.
