Chinese tablet maker, Alldocube (formerly known as ‘Cube‘) has a new Android tablet called the Alldocube X. The slate relies on the old Mediatek MT8176 hexa-core processor with next-gen IMG PowerVR GX6250 GPU and expected to bring premium features like Super AMOLED display, fingerprint sensor and theatre standard audio experience (AKM AK4376AHi-Fi audio chip).
Heavily marketed as a cheaper alternative to Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S4 (Wi-Fi), the Alldocube X sports a 10.5-inch (2560 x 1600 pixels) 2K Samsung Super AMOLED display, USB 3.0 Type-C port, 2x stereo speakers and 3.5mm headphone jack. It is backed by a 8,000mAh battery with support for Pump Express 2.0 and up to 72 hours of standby time on a single charge.
Measuring 6.9mm thin, the tablet has an all-metal CNC unibody design, 8MP AF rear + 8MP FF front cameras, 4GB of RAM, 64GB built-in storage, microSD card slot (up to 128GB cards) and comes pre-loaded with Android 8.1 Oreo OS.
The Alldocube X is a crowdfunded project on Indiegogo and has entered the prototype stage. It is expected to sell at a retail price of $269.
