Leaks Tablets

Alleged Nexus 9 (HTC 0P82100) Shows Up At the FCC

It has been years we last saw a tablet from HTC, that is looking to change as a HTC tablet with the model number – “HTC 0P82100“. The tablet in question is no more than the upcoming Nexus 9 which is codenamed T1, Founder or Volantis. The tablet is nearly at the point of being released and before the end of the month we would get concrete details.

HTC has left the tablet category for a while now but building the Nexus 9 might get the Taiwanese company back on track. The HTC 0P82100 (HTC T1, Volantis or Flounder) is expected to feature a 8.9-inch display with a 4:3 aspect ratio and a display resolution of 2048 x 1440 pixels. The listing confirms the presence of 802.11ac WiFi, Bluetooth and NFC connectivity options. Asides the Wi-Fi only version; the other versions would also be available with 3G/4G.

Asides the display all other specs are purported; the device is set to be powered by 64-bit version of the NVIDIA Tegra K1, between 2 – 5GB of RAM and we could actually see a rise of Nexus tablets with higher internal storage 16GB – 64GB, a 8MP rear camera with OIS and front facing 3MP camera.

The Nexus 9 would be the first tablet to run on Google’s Android L OS. HTC has already sent out invites for a event scheduled on Oct 16th in New York. While we have marked out Ocober 16th, much would be seen if the Nexus 9 would debut at the event.
