We had earlier followed up supposed tiny details about an upcoming Nexus device from Motorola in collaboration with Google. According to 9to5google, the upcoming Google Nexus 6 (codenamed Shamu or Motorola Shamu) would bear similar specs to the recently launched New Moto X smartphone with few added adjustments to fit the increased screen size. The post also included an image (mockup) of the Nexus 6 and provided brief specs details of the device.
On the specs side, the Google Nexus 6 (Motorola Shamu) would feature a 5.9-inch (2,560 x 1,440 pixels) QHD resolution display with a pixel density of 498ppi. On board you will find a 2.6GHz Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot for sorage expansion. Other features includes a 2MP front facing camera, a rear facing 13MP sensor with ring flash as seen on the New Moto X and front facing speakers.
Finally, the Nexus 6 is expected to run on Android L and a 3200mAh battery powers the device.
Based on available report, the Nexus 6 could get an official announcement from Google and Motorola in October with availability set for November. While nothing concrete has been heard from the companies involved, we just have to keep our fingers crossed.
