Alleged Specs of the HTC One (M8) For Windows Phone OS surfaces Online

It is very affirmative that HTC is looking to launch the Windows Phone version of the flagship HTC One M8. HTC has not come out to clear or stroke any rumors but the company has announced and invited participants to an August 19th in New York where the device would be officially announced as HTC One (M8) for Windows.

The HTC One (M8) For Windows (which could likely also be called the HTC One W8) was spotted on US carrier verizon as HTC One M8 Windows. It should be known that both the Android version and the Windows Phone version are basically the same only that the Android 4.4 Kitkat has been replaced with the Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1.

Starting from the display, The HTC One (M8) Windows is expected to feature a 5-inch 1080p Super LCD3 Display resulting in a pixel density of 441ppi with a corning glass 3 protection. Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC with 2.3GHz quad-core CPU, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable internal storage and a microSD card slot for expansion (up to 128GB).

On the rear is a 4MP UltraPixel camera in charge of photography and a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies and video chats. A UFocus feature similar to the Nokia Re-Focus App which let users re-focus a picture after it has been taken. It is available in Automode.

The device would retain HTC’s dual Boomsound front facing Stereo speakers and support for HTC Dot View Case which integrates cortana amongst other features.

The HTC One (M8) For Windows measures 136 x 70.6 x 9.35mm, weighs 160g, runs on Windows Phone 8.1 GRD1 and powered by a 2600mAh battery.
