Europe-based Romanian brand, Allview has announced a PRO version of the Allview P8 Energy at the Mobile World Congress in 2016. Dubbed the Allview P8 Energy Pro, the phablet sized device has a smaller battery (5020mAh) compared to the OG model (6000mAh) but some of the specs have improved.
One of the highlight of the Allview P8 Energy Pro is the high capacity battery under the hood. The 5020mAh battery which can last up to 3 days on light usage or 2 days of heavy usage, has fast charging and acts as a power bank for charging other mobile devices via USB OTG.
The device should last up to 450 hours standby time and 1350 minute of talk time. Also, it is said to last up to 22.5 hours on extreme mode on 10 minutes of charge (i.e 10% charge) and up to 225 hours of running time when in Smart Energy Saving Mode with a full charge.
With a full metal unibody design, the Allview P8 Energy Pro sports a 6-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD AMOLED display with 2.5D display and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Under the hood sits a octa-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz with 3GB of RAM and 64GB built-in storage space.
For additional storage space, there is a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 128GB. In the camera segment, there is a front facing 5-megapixel camera with Beautify and rear facing 13-megapixel AutoFocus camera with f/2.0 aperture and 1080p video recording.
The Allview P8 Energy Pro comes with 4G Dual Mode (TDD & FDD) connectivity on both SIMs but still runs the now dated Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. The frontal Easy Fingerprint sensor guarantees information and data security; and there is a private gallery or hidden files for saving photos & documents.
There are various self explantory modes and features on the device giving access to different functions – children’s world section, one hand usage mode , Recyce Bin and Visitor dedicated profile. The P8 Energy Pro by Allview uses the USB Type-C port and will arrive by April in Gold and Silver colours.
