Allview has listed up the successor to the Allview P8 Energy on its official website. Dubbed the Allview P9 Energy, the new P9 series smartphone is based on the Gionee M6 and has a smaller battery (5000mAh) compared to it predecessor (6000mAh), but due to optimisations will last longer.
Pre-installed with Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, the Allview P9 Energy is expected to last 2 days of heavy usage and 4 days of light usage; 1621 minutes of talk time and 555 hours of standby time. With PE+ charging, the device goes from 0 – 15% in 15 minutes and this guarantees 180 minutes of talk time.
The device sports a metallic body design, 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display with 2.5D glass, octa-core Mediatek Helio P10 SoC, 4GB of RAM, 64GB built-in storage space, frontal fingerpint sensor and a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 128GB.
For photography, there is arear facing 13MP PDAF camera with Sony IMX258 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, Full HD video recording and Professional mode alongside a front facing 8MP camera with Screen Flash for selfies. It supports 4G LTE Cat.6 networks, and 5G Wi-FI Band.
To further extend the battery autonomy, the Allview P9 Energy has Energy Saving Mode and Extreme modes. Also, it supports reverse charging and connection of external devices such as mouse and keyboard via OTG cable. It is available for EUR 429 in Gold and Mocha Gold colours.
