At the BaselWorld 2015, Alpina took off the wraps of its first Horological smartwatch – which offers analogue readings for activity tracking data. It is expected to take on the Withings Activité which leads the market in analogue data wearables and is aimed at women.
The Alpina Horological Smartwatch has the same design that any analogue device; has an analogue dial display instead of digital ones; and is powered by MotionX® technology platform – a new open platform for convert traditional watches into smartwatch.
The MotionX® patented sensor-fusion engine allows the device track sleep patterns and activity . The data is synchronised via Bluetooth to Android and iOS smartphones and the data is available over a long period (day, week or month). Finally, the watch’s battery is expected to last over 2 years plus before the battery can be changed.

There is no word on pricing and availability at the moment but the device is expected to cost around £350 starting April.
