Boost Mobile has announced the LG Volt 2 and LG Tribute 2; both device succeeds the LG Volt and Tribute smartphones launched last year. The Volt 2 and Tribute 2 are available at $149.99 (plus tax) and $99.99 (plus tax) respectively on Boost Mobile.
LG Volt 2
The LG Volt 2 features a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display which is slightly bigger than the 4.7-inch (960 x 540 pixels) qHD display on the LG Volt. Under the hood, it is powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz paired with 1GB of RAM, 8GB space of internal storage and a microSD card slot for storage expansion.
The Volt 2 has a rear facing 8MP camera and the front facing camera for selfies is now 5MP from the 1.3MP on the predecessor. It supports LTE networks, runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and is backed by a 2840mAh battery.
LG Tribute 2
The LG Tribute 2 is smaller with its 4.5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) FWVGA IPS display which is a slight improvement over the 4.5-inch (800 x 480 pixels) WVGA on the LG Tribute. It is powered by the same Quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable internal storage.
The Tribute 2 has a 5MP rear facing camera, front facing 1.3MP camera, runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, LTE support and is backed by a 1900mah battery which is expected to provide around 16 hours of talk time.
Asides having the same RAM, ROM, Processor and running the same Android 5.1 Lollipop OS; both the LG Volt 2 and the LG Tribute 2 come with the signature rear keys, Knock Code, QuickMemo+, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi and Fun selfies features such as Selfie Light, Gesture Interval shot, and Gesture shot.
