Android 6.0 Based Nokia A1 Render Surfaces Online

Although Nokia has confirmed it will return to the smartphone arena in due course, however, that will only happen when the deal with Microsoft elapses. The blogosphere has been shifted focus from the long-rumoured Nokia C1 to a new Nokia A1 smartphone, which has surfaced online and is expected to ship by summer 2016.‎

The Nokia A1 Render shows a solid mid-ranger with plastic polycarbonate body and runs what only looks like the company’s in-house originated Z launcher used on the Nokia N1 tablet only this time it is expected to be based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.

Most of the specs details are not available yet but the A1 is expected to sport a 5.5-inch display with 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD) screen resolution, resulting in a pixel density of 401ppi. Under the hood sits an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 64-bit processor with Adreno 510 GPU. ‎

In a related news, a Nokia enthusiast released a video showing the Nokia C9 concept smartphone in action. The device sports a full metal body build, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM, 21MP main camera, front 8MP camera and boots either Android 6.0 Marshmallow or Windows 10 OS.
