Leaks Rumours Tablets

Android Lollipop running Panasonic TAB-A02-SD spotted on benchmark listing

Panasonic has a new tablet – the Panasonic TAB-A02-SD spotted on GFX Benchmark listing; the tablet surprisingly has no Toughpad moniker which means the tablet could come without the ruggedity and toughness associated with the brand name.

The Panasonic TAB-A02-SD comes with specs that are not entirely different from the offerings in the market. It sports a 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 pixels resolution touchscreen display, powered by a quad-core Marvell PXA1928 processor clocked at 1.5GHz with vivante Corporation PXA1928 GPU.

It gets some tricky at the Memory section, it is listed as having 1GB/2GB RAM and 16GB (12GB available for user)/8GB (5.2GB available for user). This confirms the tablet would be in two memory and storage variant – one model with 1GB RAM/8GB internal storage and the other with 2GB RAM/16GB internal storage.

The main camera is a 5MP unit with flash and the front camera is a 1MP unit. Both camera can record 720p HD videos. It is a Wi-Fi only slate having Bluetooth, GPS and NFC connectivity options too. The tablet also has a host of sensor options. The battery capacity is not listed and it boots Android 5.0 Lollipop OS out-of-the-box.

The Panasonic TAB-A02-SD is expected to break cover at some point in coming months. One issue it still leave to ponder is if the company is toeing a new line of tablet line or it could end up being a toughpad series tablet afterall.
