From the look of things this year, Samsung would be returning to using both the Exynos and Qualcomm processors on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7 (and variants). About two weeks ago, the key specs details of the Galaxy S7 Edge with Snapdragon 820 SoC popped up on AnTuTu benchmark database listing (codenamed SM-G935A for AT&T).
Today, AnTuTu has posted the details of the Samsung Galaxy S7 with Exynos 8890 SoC (codenamed SM-G930F – international variant) on its official Weibo account but no benchmark scores yet as the phone is still in testing phase. The specs posted are similar to that of the Snapdragon 820 version.
Moving to the specs, the Galaxy S7 with Exynos 8890 SoC sports a 5.1-inch display with 2560 x 1440 pixels (QHD), 4GB of RAM, 64GB built-in storage space and runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS out-of-the-box. The device has a rear facing 12-megapixel camera along with a front facing 5-megapixel selfie shooter.
Samsung’s Exynos 8890 SoC could be said to be in the same league as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC, so we will await the total benchmark score the device posts but any score less than 100,000 (precisely about 130,000) will be a killjoy according to high profile sources.
