In what looks like a major step forward, Google has added Nine countries to the list of countries which can list apps and charge a fee for apps on its Google play store. The total list of countries which developers can charge for apps, in-app purchases collect revenue from a Google Play Merchant account now total up to 54 countries.
The included countries includes: Belarus (US Dollars), Chile (Chilean Pesos), Colombia (Colombian Pesos), Costa Rica (Colón), Egypt (Egyptian Pound), Kazakhstan (US Dollars), Kuwait (US Dollars), Nigeria (US Dollars), United Arab Emirates (Dirham).
With Google expanding it services, in almost all countries in the world the Google Play store is accessible, free apps can be listed and purchase but only the verified 54 countries can charge a fee for their apps.
Note: The Google Play Merchant Account involves the paying a $25 signup fee and visit the Google Play Developer Console to register.
Recently, Paypal announced its Availability in Nigeria and 9 other countries, this year is looking really good for the Country on payment solutions front.
