Few days ago, Apple introduced three new iPhone models – iPhone 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max alongside a new iPad and Apple Watch Series 5 at the Apple Event 2019 which took place at the Steve Jobs Theatre in Cupertino, California.
iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro
The iPhone 11 and 11 Pro are fitted with the more powerful Apple A13 Bionic and boot iOS 13. Both models have a TrueDepth camera for FaceID facial recognition, 12MP (f/2.2) front camera with Retina Flash, Dual SIM slots (nano + eSIM), stereo speakers, IP68-rating and built-in battery with Qi Wireless charging and fast charging.
The standard iPhone 11 has a 6.11-inch LCD Liquid Retina display and offers 1 hour longer battery life than the iPhone XR. It has a dual-camera system with 12MP (f/1.8, OIS) wide-angle camera and 12MP (f/2.4, 120°) ultra-wide camera with 2x optical zoom and up to 5x digital zoom.
The Pro model and it’s bigger Max sibling, have 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch Super Retina XDR OLED displays respectively. Both are equipped with a triple-camera setup which consists of a 12MP (f/2.4, 120° FOV) ultra-wide camera, 12MP (f/1.8, OIS) wide camera and 12MP (f/2.0, OIS, 2x optical zoom) telephoto camera. All three offer Night mode, Portrait mode and 4K video recording at 60fps.
The iPhone 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max are available in 64GB, 256GB and 512GB built-in storage options. The standard model (starting at $699) will go on sale from September 20 in Black, Green, Purple, White, Yellow and PRODUCT (RED) colours. The Pro models (starting at $999 and $1,199 respectively) are available in Gold, Midnight Green, Silver and Space Grey colours.
New iPad (10.2-inch)
Starting at $329, the new iPad has a large 10.2-inch Retina display, supports full-size smart keyboard and Apple Pencil, A10 Fusion chip and boots iPadOS. It has a 8MP rear camera, FaceTime HD camera, TouchID, stereo audio system and up to 10 hours of battery life. Every purchase of the new iPad comes with a year subscription of the Apple TV+.
The new iPad will go on sale starting September 30 in Gold, Silver and Space Gray colours, 32GB or 128GB storage options and Wi-Fi only or Wi-Fi + Cellular (LTE).
Watch Series 5
The new Apple Watch Series 5 has an Always-On Retina display and comes in aluminium, stainless steel, titanium or ceramic body materials. The smartwatch has an ECG app to read heart rate, new Noise app alerts and new Cycle Tracking app. It also offers access to Apple Store, Apple Pay, Sir and Apple Music. The GPS models will start at $399 and cellular models start at $499.
