The Apple iPhone 7 and Apple iPhone 7 Plus are now official. Mode made their debuts along so many other announcements including the Apple AirPods, Apple Watch Series 2, WatchOS 3, macOS Serra Apple Watch Nike Plus edition and others.
Available in Black, Gold, Rose Gold, Silver and a new distinct Jet Black colour; both models are made from high-grade aluminium metal, redesigned circular home button, IP67 certified (water and dust resitant) and run iOS 10, however, the iPhone 7 comes with a single rear camera while the iPhone 7 Plus utilises a Dual camera setup.
The Apple iPhone 7 sports a 4.7-inch Retina HD display while the iPhone 7 Plus has the same 5.5-inch display; both however come with 3D Touch functionality and powered by a new, quad-core chip named A10 Fusion. The new iPhones will arrive in 32GB/128GB/256GB non-expandable storage options.
One of the most talked about feature missing is the non-inclusion of a headphone jack with the functions now handled by the Earpods and the new lightning connector. The 12MP camera with OIS, an f/1.8 lens with 6 elements, is the main one for both while the facetime camera is now up to 7MP.
The iPhone 7 Plus has an additional telephoto camera with OIS along with Quad-LED True Tone flash, for handling depth. Other notable specs includes – advanced LTE capabilities, stereo speakers, and dust resistance.
Orders for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus starts at $649 and $769 respectively; and shipping is expected to commence on September 16 in 28 countries. The option for add more storage costs $100 more.
