At the scheduled products launch event at the new Apple Park Campus, Apple launched its latest phablet-sized iPhone, the iPhone X to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the iPhone. The flagship device sports a 5.8-inch (2436 x 1125) edge-to-edge OLED display with 458ppi, 3D touch and support for both HDR and Dolby Vision.
Available in Silver and Space Gray colours, the Apple iPhone X features a glass back, Aerospace-grade 7000-series aluminium frame, and dust and water resistance. It is powered by the A11 Bionic chip, the same found on the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, and Face ID replaces the front home button.
This face recognition tech uses the TrueDepth camera system made up of a dot projector, IR camera, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, speaker, microphone, flood illuminator and front camera to unlock the phone. It can also be used when making mobile payments using Apple Pay.

The smartphone has Dual 12MP rear cameras with wide-angle (f/1.8) and telephoto (f/2.4) lens respectively, Dual OIS, Quad LED True tone flash and 4K recording support. The cameras are also custom tuned for AR (Augmented Reality). The front camera is a 7MP snapper with f/2.2 aperture and Retina Flash.
The iPhone X will be available on for pre-order staring October 27th (Friday) in several countries around the world and sales commences on November 3rd. The 64GB model costs $999 and the higher 256GB model goes for $1,149.
