Alongside the new iPad Pro, Apple also announced the all-new MacBook Air and a refreshed Mac Mini. The duo are available to order starting today on Apple.com and will be available in Apple retail stores and through Apple Authorized Resellers starting November 7.
New MacBook Air
Starting at US$ 1,199, the new MacBook Air packs a stunning 13-inch Retina display with over 4 million pixels of resolution and built-in FaceTime HD camera. It boots macOS Mojave and includes Touch ID – fingerprint sensor built into the keyboard and Apple T2 Security Chip for more security.
It also features the 3rd-generation Apple-designed keyboard (20% larger than previous generation) with individually backlit key and Force Touch trackpad. It is available in three colour options: Gold, Silver and Space Gray, and offers an all-day battery life.
The new Macbook Air packs the 8th generation Intel Core i5 processor, Intel UHD Graphics and faster 2133 MHz system memory up to 16GB, and up to 1.5TB SSDs. It also includes 25% louder speakers and two Thunderbolt 3 ports for charging, date transfer and more.
Apple also announced new MacBook Pro graphics options with Radeon Pro Vega graphics to MacBook Pro. These new options will deliver up to 60% faster graphics performance.
New Mac Mini
Starting at $799, the all-new Mac mini features quad- and 6-core 8th-generation Intel Core processors with Turbo Boost Speeds up to 4.6GHz, Intel UHD graphic, up to 64GB of faster memory and up to 2TB SSDs – to deliver up to 4-5x faster performance than previous generation.
It also includes Apple T2 Security Chip, four Thunderbolt 3 ports, HDMI 2.0 port, two USB-A ports, an audio jack and Gigabit Ethernet as well as a 10Gb Ethernet option for the first time.
