Apple has teamed up with iconic Paris-based Fashion Designer and manufacturer, Hermes to release the Luxury Leather Hermes collection for the Apple Watch. These models are not listed nor available online, they can only be purchased in select Apple and Hermes stores around the world.
The Apple Watch Hermes Luxury Leather collection is based on the stainless steel Apple Watch. The watch now comes with different luxury leather bands from Hermes to choose from, customised watch faces with Hermes branding on them and the hardware also get the Hermes brand etched into them.
The watch is available in about 10 size and style combinations all under these models – Single tour, Double Tour and Cuff. The $1,100 priced Single Tour model comes in 38-mm and 42-mm stainless steel case in Fauvre, Noir and Capucine colours.
The double Tour model costs $1250 but has a longer leather band which can be wrapped around twice around the wrist, it is available only in 38-mm stainless steel case case but in four colours options to choose from- Bleu Jean, Capucine Etain and Fauvre. The last model is Cuff, it costs $1500, available in Fauve colour option only and in 48-mm stainless steel case.
The partnership with Hermes shows Apple is serious about marketing the watch as not only a geeky product but also as a fashion item.
