Arbor Gladius 10 rugged Android tablet with octa-core processor … 10hours of battery life

Arbor Solution has announced a 10 inch rugged Android tablet with an octa-core processor and rugged case. The Arbor Gladius 10 as the tablet is called will be showed off at the CES 2015 and would debut by May 2015.

The Arbor Gladius 10 is IP65 and MIL-STD-810G certified; which means the tablet is water & dust resistant; as well as having the military grade certification. The tablet survives in harsh working conditions – can drop up to 4 feet and withstands temperatures between -14 and 140 degrees Fahrenheit. The tablet has its I/O port covered with rubber covers and has raised bezel for LCD impact protection.

Enough of the ruggedity and let’s look at the specs; the Arbor Gladius 10 has a 10.1-inch TFT LCD HD display with 5 point multi-touchscreen display and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for enhanced scratch resistance and reduced scratch visibility. Under the hood is a MediaTek MTK8392 ARM Cortex-A7 Octa-core processor with 2GB of RAM, 13MP rear camera, 16GB space of internal storage, 2MP front camera and 10 hours of battery life.

Connectivity options on the rugged Gladius 10 includes Bluetooth, WiFi, NFC, GPS, micro USB, a microSD card slot and a mini-HDMI port. The Arbor Gladius 10 comes with dual SIM support; a barcode scanner, built-in microphone & speaker and a host of sensor options.

The Arbor Gladius 10 comes with optional accessory support which includes the in-vehicle docking station and desktop cradle which both supports wireless charging. The tablet would be available in Canada and Worldwide by May 2015 for a starting price of $1030 (and more).
