Archos has started selling the Archos 101 Xenon Lite tablet in the Italy. The 10.1-inch sized Dual SIM tablet is the smaller variant of the Archos 101 Xenon – it now uses a plastic body build and is kind of lighter at 550 grams. It is currently available for €159.90 in Italy.
The Archos 101 Xenon Lite has shed the Aluminium body build on the Archos 101 Xenon and now comes with a polycarbonate body. The device is now powered by a MediaTek MT8382 processor clocked at 1.3GHz instead of the Mediatek MT8389 processor clocked at 1.2GHz.
The tablet keeps it’s 10.1-inch display but the resolution has dropped from 1280 x 800 pixels to 1024 x 600 pixels IPS display. Handling tasks on the slate is 1GB of RAM and there is 16GB space of internal storage for files et the likes. There is a microSD card slot for storage expansion (up to 64GB).
On the rear, the Archos 101 Xenon Lite has a rear facing 2MP camera and a front facing 0.3MP camera. It supports 3G+ (H+) and Wi-Fi connectivity as well as other standard options including micro USB port. The slate comes with Dual SIM slots and voice calling functions.
The Archos 101 Xenon Lite also comes with a smaller 4000mAh battery compared to the 6000mAh used on its predecessor. It runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS and has unrestricted access to Google Play Store and apps.
