Archos has officially announced its first Windows 10 Mobile OS smartphone – the Archos 50 Cesium. The device is expected to be showcased at the IFA 2015 this September but will go on sale in November for a price tag of £99 ($153 or €135) in Europe.
Moving to the specs, the Archos 50 Cesium features a 5-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (HD) and a pixel density of 294ppi. Under the hood, it is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor clocked at 1.1GHz paired with 1GB RAM and 8GB space of internal storage.
For additional storage there is a microSD card slot (up to 32GB), on the rear there is a 8MP Autofocus camera with LED flash and a front facing 2MP camera for selfies. Connectivity options on the 50 Cesium includes – 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.
Measuring 147 x 72.5 x 8.5 mm, the Archos 50 Cesium weighs 118 grams, runs Windows 10 Mobile OS, supports Dual SIM functionality and is backed by a 2100mAh Li-ion battery.
The company also announced the Archos 50e Helium which has the same specs as the above but runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. The pricing and availability remains the same and would be showcased at the IFA 2015.
