Along with the ARCHOS 50f Helium (and 50f Helium Lite); the IFA 2016 will also witness more budget ARCHOS smartphones in form of the ARCHOS 55 Helium series. All the devices have Dual SIM slots, microSD card slot, supports 4G LTE networks and has a price range from £89 – £119.
Running Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out-of-the-box, the Archos 55 Helium opts for a 5.5-inch display with 1280 x 720 pixels (HD) screen resolution, a bigger 2700mAh battery and skips the fingerprint scanner on the 50f Helium. It packs 1GB of RAM, 16GB built-in storage space and costs £89 ($117).
Other models include the Archos 55 Helium Ultra which packs 3GB of RAM and 32GB built-in storage space for a price tag of £119 ($157) and the Archos 55 Helium 4 Seasons which has the same specs as the standard model but comes with four customisable interchangeable back covers for £100 ($132).
All models are powered by a quad-core Mediatek MT6737 processor clocked at 1.3GHz with ARM Mali-T860 GPU. The rest of the specs (same as the Archos 50f Helium) include – a front 2MP selfie camera, rear placed 8MP AF camera with LED flash and a microSD card slot for up to 128GB more storage space.
