Ahead of the MWC 2019, French consumer electronics maker, Archos has followed the footstep of Vivo to launch its own pop-up selfie camera smartphone, the Archos Diamond. The smartphone will be on display alongside three others – Archos Oxygen 57, Oxygen 63 and Oxygen 68XL.
Archos Diamond
The Archos Diamond has the Mediatek Helio P70 octa-core SoC on-board paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB built-in storage (expandable up to 1TB). It has a notchless 6.39-inch 19.5:9 Full HD+ AMOLED display with over 90% screen-to-body ratio and in-display fingerprint scanner.
The main dual camera setup include a 16MP Sony IMX499 sensor with f/1.8 aperture, PDAF, and a secondary 5MP Samsung ISOCELL 5E9 sensor. The front pop-up camera houses a 8MP Samsung ISOCELL S5K4H7 sensor with f/2.0 aperture and 88-degree viewing angle.
The Archos Diamond comes pre-loaded with Android 9 Pie and is backed by a 3,400mAh battery with wired (18W – 9V/2A) and wireless fast charging support. It will go on sale in May starting at EUR 299.
Archos Oxygen 57, Oxygen 63 and Oxygen 68XL
Archos’ three other Oxygen smartphones run Android 9 Pie and feature HD+ screen resolution on their respective 5.71-inch, 6.36-inch and 6.85-inch displays. They all have an octa-core processor paired with 3 or 4GB of RAM and 32 or 64GB built-in expandable storage.
- The Archos Oxygen 57 has a 5MP selfie camera, 8MP + 0.3MP dual rear cameras, 2,800mAH battery and EUR 99.
- The Archos Oxygen 63 has same camera setup as the Oxygen 57 and depends on a 3,000mAh battery capacity for EUR 129.
- The Archos Oxygen 68XL is priced at EUR 149. It has the same camera setup as the other two but opts for the Helio P22 octa-core SoC 5,000mAh battery.
