Archos Diamond Gamma and Diamond Alpha are Re-Branded Nubia Smartphones

‎Archos has announced the launch of two new Diamond series phones – the Archos Diamond Gamma and Archos Diamond Alpha. The duo are not particularly similar in features but they are the rebranded versions of the Nubia M2 Lite and standard Nubia Z17 Mini smartphones respectively.

Archos Diamond ‎Gamma

Pre-installed with Nubia UI 4.0 based on Android Nougat OS, the Archos Diamond Gamma features a 8 mm thick aluminium body, 5.5-inch HD IPS display and a 3,000mAh battery. It relies a Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 octa-core processor paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB built-in expandable storage.

The rest of the Diamond Gamma specs include – a 13MP f/2.2 primary camera with ‎Samsung 3L8 sensor, front facing 5MP f/2.4 camera, ‎4G LTE Cat. 4, Bluetooth 4.2, DTS Sound Effect, NeoVision 6, Apps Cloning and Fingerprint scanner (home button). It will cost EUR 199 when it launches in Europe by July.

Archos Diamond Alpha

The Archos Diamond Alpha sports a 5.2-inch FHD display with 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass protection and Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB built-in storage. ‎It measures 7.45 mm thick and also boots Nubia UI 4.0 but based on Android Marshmallow OS.

The Diamond Alpha has a dual rear camera setup – 13MP (RGB) + 13MP (Monochrome) with Sony IMX286 sensor. Both have f/2.2 aperture, OIS and 4K video recording. The front camera is a 16MP snapper with f/2.0 aperture. ‎It also has a fingerprint scanner on the back, and depends on a 2,950mAh battery. Pricing starts at EUR 299 after a EUR 50 rebate.
