France-based Archos has announced the launch of the Archos Diamond Omega in Europe. The high-end phablet is based on the Nubia Z17 S which is currently exclusive to China. It comes pre-loaded with Nubia UI 5.0 based on Android 7.1 Nougat OS and depends on a 3,100mAh battery (non-removable) with Quick Charge 3.0.
The Archos Diamond Omega sports a 5.73-inch IPS screen with FHD+ (2040 x 1080 pixels) resolution, 18:9 aspect ratio, 2.5D Gorilla Glass and 85% screen-to-body ratio. It packs an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 (MSM8998) processor paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage space (UFS 2.1).
The smartphone is equipped with four cameras: 2x rear and 2x front cameras. The main setup has a primary 12MP (f/1.8) rear camera alongside a secondary 23MP (f/2.0) camera to achieve 2x Zoom without loss. The front cameras entails a primary 5MP sensor paired with another 5MP sensor.
Measuring 147.5 x 72.7 x 8.5mm and weighing in at 170 grams, the Archos Diamond Omega also features Dual Nano SIM slots, 4G LTE support, USB Type-C port (for 9V/2A charging and 3.5mm audio jack adapter), Dual Band 802.11ac, and rear fingerprint sensor. It is priced at EUR 499 and will go on sale before the end of November.
