Archos has announced the Archos Flip – a convertible hybrid similar to the ones made popular by the Lenovo Yoga family. The device would be showcased at the IFA 2015 in Berlin by early September and would go sale by November 2015 for a price tag of €249 ($280).
The Archos Flip tablet is a hybrid i.e it can be used with a keyboard and can be used in various form in the 360-degrees axis. It measures 296.32 x 201.85 x 20.1 mm in dimensions, runs Windows 10 OS out-of-the-box, has some Windows 10 based applications pre-loaded and the Windows Store.
It sports a 11.6-inch TN display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels with 32GB internal storage space, 2GB of RAM and powered by the Intel Atom X5 Z8300 Cherry Trail processor clocked at 1.44GHz (up to 1.84GHz in Turbo boost mode). There is microSD card slot for storage expansion.
Backed by a sizeable 8000mAh battery, the Archos Flip has a built-in microphone, 3.5mm audio jack, front facing 2MP camera and has USB 3.0, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, HDMI, Wi-Fi connectivity options. G Sensor is the only listed sensor option.
Archos is also expected to showcase the Android Lollipop running Archos Diamond Tab tablet, Windows 10 Mobile OS running Archos 50 Cesium, Android based Archos 50e Helium and the Archos Diamond S smartphones.
