Some hours after Lenovo announced two new consumer facing chromebooks, ASUS has followed suit by unveiling two new chromebooks – ASUS C200 and ASUS C300.
Both chromebookshare similar specifications but the slight difference between the C200 and C300 in terms dimension, display and weight. Both the C200 and the C300 have a resolution of 1366×768 but the C200 has an 11.6-inch display while the C300 has a 13.3-inch display. The C200 measures 12×7.9×0.8 inches and weighs 2.5lbs, while the C300 weighs more 0.6lbs more which is at 3.1lbs and measures 13×9.1×0.8 inches. Both device features Intel Bay Trail-M processor which promises improved battery life.
Other features of the C200 and C300 includes: Intel Bay Trail-M dual processor N2830 clocked at 2.42GHz, Chrome OS, 720p HD webcam, 2GB RAM, 16GB/32GB internal storage, Bluetooth 4.0, 802.11a/b/g/n/ac2 () dual-band Wi-Fi, USB 2.0 port, USB 3.0 Port, HDMI Port, micro SD slot, and up to 10hrs of battery life.
AVAILABILITY AND PRICING
Asus C200 and C300 would be available and be shipping in the US by the end of June 2014 at a starting price of $249.99 (around N41,000 in Nigerian Naira).
