Asus announced the Asus PadFone S at the Computex event last year, before finally making the device available in its home country by July. The PadFone S is an hybrid device – which is actually a smartphone which comes with a tablet dock making swapping between both easily.
The original model featured a 5-inch Full HD display, 2GB of RAM, 2.3GHz qualcomm snapdragon 801, 16GB space of internal storage, 13MP main camera, Android 4.4 Kitkat OS and 2300mAh battery. The tablet docking station features a 9-inch Full HD display and 4300mAh battery.
The upgraded ASUS PadFone S with model number (PF500KL) comes with an improved 3GB of RAM, 64GB space of internal storage and 4G LTE connectivity.
Other specs features seems to be pretty much the same, it keeps the 2.3GHz qualcomm Snapdragon 801 (quad-core), 13MP main camera with LED flash, 2MP front facing camera, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and 2300mAh battery. It also runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS and comes with Water & Dust protection.
The tablet dock is expected to remain the same. The listing however doesn’t reveal how much this model would sell for; it is expected to add a few more quids to the available original price.
