ASUS has announced a new laptop-tablet hybrid ultrabook in the US market. The 13.9 mm thick ASUS ZenBook Flip UX360 has an all-metal body build, weighs in at 1.32kg (2.9lbs) and despite the slim body, has a fanless design which translates to a better battery life and almost non-existent noise.
Moving to the specs, the ASUS ZenBook Flip UX360 sports a 13.3-inch display with 1920 x 1080 pixels (FHD) display and there seems to be a higher model with 3800 x 1800 (QHD+). Both have LED backlit Glare touchscreen with 72% NTSC, 16:9 aspect ratio and 178 wide viewing angle.
Likened to Lenovo’s Yoga, the Zenbook Flip has a 360-degree hinge that allows the device be used in laptop, tent and tablet modes. It is powered by the 6th-gen Intel Core M (6Y30, 6Y54, 6Y75) processors along Intel HD Graphics 515, up to 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB/512GB SATA3 M.2 solid state drives.
The ZenBook Flip UX360 runs either Windows 10 Home or Pro versions, and is backed by a 54 Whrs Polymer battery which promises to last up to 12 hours according to the listing. It is equipped with built-in Stereo 1.6W Speakers and Digital Array Microphone, supported by ASUS’ SonicMaster Technology.
The ports onboard include the headphone jack, 2 x USB 3.0 ports, 1 x USB Type-C port,1 x micro HDMI port and a SD card reader. It also comes with Bluetooth 4.1 and Wi-Fi 802.11ac; and the cost starts at US$ 699 for the Base model.
