ASUS dazzled with a couple of devices at the IFA 2014, the ZenWatch and 64-bit MeMO Pad 7 debuted at the tech show. The company has followed it up with a new windows 8 tablet dubbed the Asus Vivotab 8 (M81C) powered by a 64-bit Intel Atom Soc.
Moving on to the specs details, the Asus Vivitab 8 features a an 8-inch WXGA (1280×800 pixels) LED-backlit IPS display, powered by a 64-bit quad-core Intel Atom Z3745 processor clocked at 1.8GHz with 1GB/2GB of RAM (depending on the region). On the storage front, the device gets a 32GB internal storage with a microSD card slot for expansion (up to 64GB) and 5GB Life Time Asus Webstorage Space with an additional 11GB for the first year.
The Asus Vivotab 8 measures 124.9 x 211.7 x 8.8mm, weighs 330 grams and runs on Windows 8.1 out-of-the-box. The device is powered by a 15.2Wh battery; which is tipped to provide about 8hours of battery life according to the company. The Slate sports a 2MP rear camera and front-facing camera. Connectivity options on the device includes GPS/ A-GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, and Bluetooth 4.0 options.
The Asus Vivotab 8 would be available in Black, Gold, Purple and White colour options; however there is no official word on pricing nor availability.
