ASUS has confirmed both the Asus Zenfone Zoom and the Asus Zenfone Max will be launched at the upcoming IFA 2015 coming up in a couple days time (September). The company is also expected to announce a new smartwatch, a new monitor and possibly other products.
According to Jerry Shen, the CEO of ASUS, the Taiwanese company has plans to launch the already announced smartphones – the Zenfone Zoom and the Zenfone Max; both smartphones are yet to grace the market shelves and there is no word on pricing yet.
The launch of the camera centric Asus Zenfone Zoom will come almost after more than seven months of announcement at the CES 2015 earlier this year along with the Asus Zenfone 2. The Zenfone 2 had already gone on sale several months ago and different variant has been launched.

Both the Asus Zenfone 2 and the original Zenfone 2 are very similar in terms of specifications; but the Zenfone Zoom comes with improvements in the camera and features. The 13MP camera has Dual-colour Real tone flash, Laser Autofocus, Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and 10-element lens with 3x optical zoom.
The Zenfone Max was announced at the company ZenFestival in India earlier this month; it has a sizeable 50000mAh battery and can work as a powerbank to charge other smartphones. It has a 5.5-inch HD IPS display, powered by a 64-bit quad-core Snapdragon 410 SoC, 2GB RAM, front 5MP camera, rear 13MP camera with Laser Autofocus and Android Lollipop OS.
The company’s CEO also touched on the possibility of merging the Padfone series into the Zenfone series, expects the company to ship around 21 million smartphones this year and between the 30 and 40 million figure by 2016.
Less than two weeks ago, ASUS teased a new smartwatch, monitor and ZenFone smartwatch which is expected to be detailed at the IFA 2015 trade show event.
