Asus has made a statement with its Zenfone series of devices and another smartphone in that series known with the Asus X002 moniker is believed to have been spotted through TENAA and GFXBench.
The device sports a 5-inch 720p display, powered by a 64-bit enabled quad-core MediaTek MT6732 chipset with Mali-T760 GPU. It would have either 1GB (TENAA) or 2GB (GFXBench) of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot for expansion.
The Asus X002 measures 146 x 73 x 9.9mm, weighs 140 grams, supports LTE Cat.4 connectivity (up to 150Mbps downlinks), 8MP rear camera, front 5MP camera, Single SIM functionality, Android 4.4 Kitkat OS and a 2500mAh Li-ion battery completes the list of available specs.
It is expected to go official soon with China heavily tipped as the first destination.
