ASUS has announced it would be launching three Zenfone 2 smartphones in India. The three devices are the Asus Zenfone 2 Deluxe, ASUS Zenfone 2 Selfie and the ASUS Zenfone 2 Laser and all three would receive 100Gb space of free Google Cloud Drive storage for a period of two years.
Asus Zenfone 2 Deluxe
The Asus Zenfone 2 Deluxe is basically the highest model of the Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML with 4GB RAM but with a redesigned back cover made from polygonal premium material with 3D cutting design in Illusion Blue, Illusion Red and Illusion White colour options.
The ZenFone 2 Deluxe runs Android 5.0 Lollipop OS with the latest ZenUI, supports 4G LTE, 13MP PixelMaster AutoFocus rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and Real Tone flash. It is powered by an Intel Atom Z3580 64-bit processor clocked at 2.83Ghz in either 64GB or 128GB internal storage options.
Asus Zenfone 2 Selfie
Asus is also bringing the selfie centric Asus Zenfone 2 Selfie (Asus Zenfone Selfie) to India. It sports a front and rear facing 13MP cameras with LED flash. Also, the device would be offered in 2GB/3GB RAM and 16GB/32GB storage options, 5.5-inch FHD display, 4G LTE connectivity, 3000mAh battery and 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor.
Asus Zenfone 2 Laser
Powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 64-bit processor, the ASUS Zenfone 2 Laser sports a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (HD) with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 Protection, weighs 145 grams and measures 143.7 × 71.5 × 3.5 mm ~ 10.5 mm in dimensions.
There seems to be a smaller ASUS Zenfone 2 Laser with 5-inch display and 2070mAh battery, however this model will be backed by a 3000mAh battery. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop OS with the latest ZenUI, has 2GB of RAM and 16GB space of internal storage with a microSD card slot for expansion up to 128GB.
The Zenfone 2 Laser has a rear facing 13MP camera with Laser AutoFocus for 0.3 split second autofocus time and Dual LED flash; the volume buttons are also found on the back of the device. The front camera is a 5MP snapper and connectivity options includes 4G LTE/3G, NFC, AGPS, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and micro USB.
Pricing and Availability
There is no word on pricing yet but Asus is expected to reveal the pricing of the trio devices as well as bring other smartphones and Zenpad tablets at the ZenFestival in India scheduled for August 6.
