ASUS was one of those companies which took advantage of the CES 2015 which took place this January. The company announced the flagship Zenfone 2 alongside the Zenfone Zoom. Both smartphone has almost the same specs but the Zenfone Zoom comes with a 3x Optical Zoom with OIS.
The Asus Zenfone 2 in particular is an exciting smartphone which would come with up to 4GB of RAM and it’s the world’s first to come with such amount of RAM. The company is being rumoured to be working on a mini version of the device
The Asus Zenfone 2 Mini is said to come with a 5-inch display unlike the 5.5-inch on the Zenfone 2. It is still not certain if this mini version will come with up to 4GB of RAM but 2GB is almost certain and 3GB is also likely.
The device would be powered by a 64-bit Intel Atom Z3580 quad-core processor; 13MP main camera and 5MP front camera for photography; 4G LTE support and would run on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS with Zen UI.
For now there is no available photo of the supposed Asus Zenfone 2 Mini but if it turns out to be real it would cost lesser than the senior Zenfone 2. It is expected to available in March this year and would make an appearance at the MWC 2015 which is still days away.
