The ASUS Zenfone 2 is not a flagship device but is not far off in terms of what it has to offer. The Taiwanese company has already launched new variants of the Zenfone 2 and another has just been released in the US.
ASUS has released the Zenfone 2 ZE551ML in the US with 4GB of RAM and 16GB space of internal storage for a price tag of $229 unlocked. Initially, the 4GB RAM variant of the device is only available with the 64GB storage variant. There is a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 64GB.
Revisiting the specs, the Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML sports a 5.5-inch FHD IPS display (403ppi) with Corning Gorilla Glass 3, powered by a 1.8GHz 64-bit quad-core Intel Atom Z3560 processor, PowerVR Series 6 G 6430, 13MP f/2.0 rear facing camera and a front 5MP camera.
Others includes – Android 5.0 Lollipop OS with ZENUI, Bluetooth 4.0, 802.11 a/b/g/n/c Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, GPS/GLONASS, Dual Micro-SIM card slots, NFC, 4G LTE connectivity (LTE Cat.4) and 3000mAh battery with ASUS BoostMaster Technology.
The ASUS Zenfone 2 ZE551ML (4GB/16GB) at $229 currently sits well in-between the (2GB/16GB) model at $199 and the other (4GB/64GB) at $299. How would you like 4GB of RAM on a midrange smartphone? Epic right?
