ASUS has launched a new Zenfone Max smartphone in India. The Asus Zenfone 3s Max follows up last year’s last year’s ZenFone 3 Max in India. It is priced at Rs. 14,999 ($220) and is available across online as well as offline retail stores in India. Black and gold colours are the available options.
Sporting a metal unibody design, the Asus Zenfone 3s Max boots Android 7.0 Nougat OS with ZenUI 3.0 and draws energy from a sizeable 5000mAh battery, which promises up to three days of mixed usage on a single charge. This also equates to about 34 days of standby time, 25 hours of browsing on Wi-Fi and 18 hours of continuous video playback.
It sports a 5.2-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS 2.5D display and 72% screen-to-body ratio. On the inside, it is powered by an Octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor clocked at 1.5GHz with 3GB of RAM and 32GB built-in storage space (expandable up to 2TB via microSD). Connectivity and options on the device includes 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, 3.5mm audio, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and GPS.
Photography is handled by a rear facing 13MP camera with Phase Detection AutoFocus (PDAF), f/2.0 aperture and dual-tone LED Flash. The front selfie camera is a 8MP snapper with f/2.2 aperture and 85-degree wide viewing angle lens. The fingerprint sensor with 360-degree and 5-finger recognition is located on the front home button.
