Asus ZenFone Go quietly goes official with 2GB RAM, 2070mAh battery and Android 5.1

Initially expected to launch at the Asus ZenFestival in India; the Asus ZenFone Go has quietly been listed on the company’s website for the nation. The device which came under the radar back in July with most of specs known already; is also listed on Flipkart but no word on pricing yet.

Moving to the specs, the Asus ZenFone Go (ZC500TG) features a 5-inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, powered by a quad-core Mediatek MT6580 processor clocked at 1.3GHz paired with 2GB of RAM and either 8GB/16GB space of internal storage. 

There is a microSD slot for storage expansion up to 64GB and 100GB of Google Drive storage. On the back there is a 8MP AutoFocus camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash; the front camera is a 2MP Fixed Focus snapper for selfies. 

Connectivity options on the Zenfone Go includes – Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 and 3G HSPA+. Sensor options includes – Accelerometer, Ambient Light Sensor, E Compass and Proximity.

The Asus ZenFone Go has Dual Micro SIM support with Dual Standby, measures 144.5 x 71 x 9.98mm in dimensions, weighs 135 grams, runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with Zen UI 2.0 and is backed by a 2070mAh battery. Black, Red and White are the available colour options. 

Over the past few weeks, Asus has managed to announce the Asus Zenfone 2 Deluxe, Zenfone 2 Selfie and Zenfone 2 Laser in India. The company also announced the Asus Zenfone Max with 5000mAh battery.
