ASUS has officially announced a new ZenPad tablet in the US. The LTE Advanced-enabled Asus ZenPad Z10 is exclusive to Verizon (Big Red) and supports Verzon’s LTE-A network, which promises up to 50% faster peak speeds in more than 450 cities in the US, including many less-served areas.
Running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS with ASUS Zen UI (no word on update to Nougat), the Asus ZenPad Z10 sports a 9.7-inch IPS display with 2048 x 1536 pixels (QXGA) screen resolution, pixel density of 294ppi and 178-degree wide viewing angle.
Under the hood, it is powered by a Hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor with 3GB of RAM, 32GB built-in storage space and a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 128GB. In the camera segment, there is a rear facing 8MP camera and a front facing 5MP camera.
The Asus ZenPad Z10 has a premium metal unibody design, comes pre-installed with a SIM, weighs 490.4 grams, Dual Stereo speakers with DTS-HD premium audio and uses the USB Type-C port. It is backed by a long lasting 7800mAh Li-Polymer Battery (non-removable), lasting up to 20 hours of usage time and 56 days on standby.
As regards pricing, the ZenPad Z10 is available at the carrier’s online store and starting October 13 at Physical stores for a one-off payment of US$ 329.99 or on device payment for a monthly plan of US$ 13.74 monthly for 24 months.
