Although ASUS didn’t unveil any new tablets at the Computex 2016, serial tipster, Evan Blass (@evleaks) has leaked details and images of the upcoming Asus Zenpad Z8 tablet which will be heading for Verizon in the US. How much the tablet will sell for and when it will launch is still not known.
According to the details available, the Asus Zenpad Z8 tablet sports a 8-inch display with 2048 x 1536 pixels screen resolution, front facing 1.8MP camera and a rear facing 8MP camera. On the inside, it is powered by the Hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 MSM8956 processor clocked up to 1.8GHz with Adreno 510 GPU and 2GB of RAM.
The Zenpad Z8 has 16GB built-in storage space which is expandable possibly up to 128GB via a microSD card slot, boots Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS out-of-the-box and supports 4G LTE connectivity. The rest of the specs is not available yet but the slate is expected to be up to industry standard.
