Chinese brand, Elephone and India based iBerry’s Auxus Brand are in collaboration to bring the Elephone P8000 to India as the Auxus PRIME P8000. The device would be available exclusively on Snapdeal by the end of August with no word on pricing yet.
Commenting on the partnership, Elephone CEO, Ji said,
“We are very glad to have an OEM collaboration with Auxus for India market and we look forward to bringing in more products for Indian customers to meet their demand in terms of specifications and after-sales support.”
The Auxus PRIME P8000 is a specially customised version of the Elephone P8000 with the necessary 4G LTE TDD B40 with 2300MHz frequency as well as support for all Indian Network Bands and frequencies.
Since both devices have the same specifications and features, the same 3rd party ROMs will work on both. The Prime P8000 carries a 1 year warranty and would be serviceable across the over 350+ authorised Auxus service centers across India.
Talking about the specs, the Auxus PRIME P8000 features a 5.5-inch FHD OGS display, powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor clocked at 1.3GHz, with Mali-T720 GPU, 3GB of RAM and 16GB space of internal storage.
On the rear, the main camera is a 13MP snapper with Samsung CMOS sensor and LED flash; the front camera is a 5MP snapper for selfies and there is a microSD card slot for additional storage. Connectivity options includes – GPS, Bluetooth, USB OTG, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and 3G HSPA+/4G LTE.
The Auxus PRIME P8000 measures 155.2 x 76.6 x 9.2mm in dimensions, has a fingerprint scanner below the main camera, runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box and is backed by a non-removable 4200mAh battery.
