Indonesian based company, AXIOO International has just announced a new entry-level smartphone – the AXIOO i1. The device doesn’t offer anything special except the fact that it is powered by an Intel Sofia processor. It will be available in the company’s home market and will come in only Grey colour option.
Intel processor are beginning to find their ways into smartphones but they are more popular on tablets and PCs. The AXIOO i1 is powered by a Dual-core Intel Atom x3 (Intel Sofia 3G) processor clocked at 1.04GHz which is then paired with just 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of native storage.
The device sports a 5-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (HD); for additional storage, there should be a microSD card slot for storage expansion and for photography, the rear facing camera is a 8-Megapixels camera with LED flash and the front facing camera is a 5- Megapixels snapper for selfies.
Connectivity options on the device includes – Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, micro USB 2.0 and 3G but not 4G LTE support.Disappointedly, the AXIOO i1 runs the now dated Android 4.4.x Kitkat OS out-of-the-box but the company promises immediate upgrade to the Android 5.1 Lollipop OS.
The listing doesn’t state of the device has a Single SIM slot or a Dual SIM slot but it is backed by a reasonable 2100mAh battery.
