Largest retail bookseller in the US, Barnes & Noble has teamed up with Samsung to announce a new Nook tablet – the Samsung Galaxy Tab E Nook. The 9.6-inch will bring ‘NOOK’s extraordinary reading and entertainment experience, perfect for the whole family’.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab E Nook is based on the Galaxy Tab E and is pre-loaded with the Nook store for accessing new materials – magazines, books, newspaper; Nook apps, Nook video and Nook profiles to customise similar but different experiences for multiple users especially families.
Going back to the specs, it sports a 9.6-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) LCD TFT display, powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz with 1.5GB RAM, 16GB native storage, a microSD card slot, 5MP main camera, 2MP selfie camera and a 5000mAh battery runs the whole show.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab E Nook is priced at $249.99 and available in Barnes & Noble stores as well as online from Nook.com. Barnes & Noble members gets 10-percent discount on price and lest not forget, all Nook devices come with free lifetime in-store support.
Barnes and Noble is offering a limited Trade-In/Trade-Up in-store promotion to offer credits worth up to $200 towards the purchase of a new Nook device for those who trade in select iPad, Kindle, Nook, and Samsung devices through November 7.
