First of all we broke the news when we spotted BBM for Windows phone as a private beta on windows phone store. With the app now very prominent on Android and iOS platforms, what better platform would it land on if not for Windows Phone OS.
BBM for Windows On Lumia devices
After several developments the, BBM for Windows Phone app is finally available to download for every tom, dick and harry who owns any mobile devices running on Windows Phone 8 and higher OS.
BBM for Windows Phone offers all the basic BBM features with upgrades expected to come in the nearest future. Asides BBM Chats, BBM groups, BBM Feeds; it also comes with specific features specially tailored for Windows Phone users with the ‘Pin To start’ and ‘Transparent Live Tiles’ feature.
- • BBM Chats – BBM allows you chat with friends, share pictures, voice messages and locations. Whilst also allowing you chatup with your added users, you can select whether you want the chat one-on-one, multi-person or group chats.
• Find Friends – allows you to add friends to your contact list by adding people who have similar interest with you. You can invite friends by SMS, Email, PIN and Barcode scan.
• BBM Groups – Allows conversations with about 50 users at a time.
• BBM Feeds – Shows you update on what other users on your list are up to – status, profile picture update, and others.
• Pin To Start – Allows you add your favourite BBM user to your WP start screen.
The BBM for Windows Phone app is currently available in the Windows Phone Store in Beta state but a newer version (version 2.0 already in the works) is expected to be announced soon.
