Bezel-less smartphone are the talk of the town for some days now; three different OEMs in China has been teasing their various Bezeless device – an upcoming smartphone from LeTV (name not released yet); Subor S3 and the R7 from Oppo.
The Bezel-less Oppo R7 first surfaced online with non-existent bezels with the authencity of the device question due to its aforementioned feature. More realistic images and video of the device has surfaced now to further proof its existence.
Much is not know about the specs of the Oppo R7 (Oppo R7f) but it’s has been certified in Indonesia and show the device would support LTE connectivity. The device is powered by an Octa-core MediaTek MT6795 processor and it expected to feature a 20.7 MP rear camera. It is also expected to run Android Lollipop OS but thanks to the leaked images we saw images of the video and music apps in action.
The Oppo R7 is expected to succeed the Oppo R5 which was at a point the slimmest smartphone in the world at 4.85mm; a post now occupied by the CoolPad Ivvi K1 Mini (4.7mm). The R7 is expected to retain the same thinness as it’s predecessor and would possibly address the issue of low audio quality and poor battery life that the R5 is riddled with.
We expect more details of the device to surfaces as days roll by. Maybe we will get to see a flagship R Series device from Oppo or the usual mid-range we are accustomed to. Time will tell….
