Samsung has officially announced the Black Pearl version of the Galaxy S7 Edge to obviously take on the Jet Black variant of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. The new colour variant will be available starting December 9 in select markets, starting with the company’s home country – South Korea.
The glossy Black Pearl Samsung Galaxy S7 edge is deeper than the Black Onyx and is the seventh colour option following the already available White Pearl, Black Onyx, Gold Platinum, Blue Coral, Silver Titanium and Pink Gold colour variants.
Following the abrupt end of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, the Galaxy S7 edge remains the company’s premium flagship smartphone, although it was released as far back as the MWC 2016 (March). It also sets itself apart from the original main Samsung Galaxy S7 with a functional curved edges.
In terms of pricing, the Black Pearl Samsung Galaxy S7 edge is reportedly listed online on online shop – T World Direct via Korea’s mobile operator – SK Telecom for a price tag of 1,012,000 Korean Won (USD 863).
PS: Instead of the going for the Black Pearl Galaxy S7 edge, you might just want to wait for the Samsung Galaxy S8 (and maybe the Galaxy S8 Edge) which should hit the markets around March or April 2017.
Samsung always looking to Apple for inspiration. I only hope they don’t copy the removal of the audio jack.
