Xiaomi has unveiled its latest gaming Black Shark branded smartphone – the Black Shark 2. This model sits third position behind the Black Shark and Black Shark Helo, and is expected to rival gaming-centric phones such as the Razer Phone 2, Vivo iQOO, and Nubia Red Magic Mars.
The Black Shark 2 has a pressure-sensitive 6.39-inch (2380 x 1080 pixels) 19.5:9 Full HD+ AMOLED display with Samsung branded in-display fingerprint sensor and packs a 4,000mAh battery with USB Type-C port for Quick Charge 4.0 fast charging (27W). It is equipped with the world’s first direct touch multilayer liquid cooling system.
Internally, the phone packs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 12nm mobile platform paired with 6/8/12GB of RAM and 128/256GB (UFS 2.1) built-in storage. For photography, it has 20MP (f/2.0) selfie camera with smart beauty and a dual rear camera system with a primary 48MP (f/1.75) AI sensor and 13MP (f/2.2) sensor with 2x optical zoom.
The smartphone is now available in China in Frozen Silver and Shadow Black colour options. The 6GB RAM /128GB storage model is priced at CNY 3,199 (~USD 476) while the top end 12GB RAM/ 256GB storage model sells for CNY 4,199 (~USD 625).
